Egypt's Freedom

You know it is sad that the American people seem to have forgotten the United States of America began with a revolution. Thirteen colonies came together as one to say no more British dictatorship. Many Americans from thirteen colonies gave their lives for the freedom we take for granted today. Today the people of Egypt are fighting for their freedom and all I seem to hear from public broadcasters is what  we need to do to protect our interest in their country. Look what has happened around the world in different countries where we have supported  their dictators yet we say we stand for democracy. You can't have it both ways. Our government and large corporations have gone into countries and made deals with dictators to rape them of their valuable resources without regard for the peoples welfare. I sometimes wonder where our government really stands on democracy. Are we so afraid that we may have to pay an extra two dollars a gallon for gas? Is that more important then human freedom? What do you think our founding fathers would say? No cost is too high for the freedom of depressed people around the world.
